Turin, 15 Sept. (LaPresse) – The Juventus Stadium in Turin will host the 2028 Conference League final. The announcement was made during the UEFA Executive Committee meeting held today in Thessaloniki (Greece), which gave a positive assessment of the bid submitted in June by the FIGC in collaboration with Juventus and Turin City Council, and which also involved the Piedmont Region and, for matters relating to accommodation, Federalberghi Torino. The Juventus Stadium has already hosted international UEFA events: the 2014 Europa League final between Sevilla and Benfica, two matches from the 2021 Nations League Finals (Belgium v France and the third-place play-off between Italy and Belgium) and the 2022 Women’s Champions League final between Lyon and Barcelona. The Federation thus reaffirms its significant investment and commitment to organising international football events: the 2028 Conference League final joins two other competitions that Italy is already certain to host in the coming years – the final phase of the Women’s Under-19 European Championship in 2029 and Euro 2032, the latter jointly with Turkey.
