Milan, Aug. 19 (LaPresse) — An MRI performed this morning in Rome on Marcell Jacobs revealed a moderate injury to the pectineus muscle in his left thigh, which is already healing. This was announced by FIDAL. The Italian athlete, who was forced to withdraw from the 100-meter final at last week’s European Championships in Birmingham, will continue his treatment in the capital, following initial care received immediately after the injury during the European Championships. The results of the diagnostic tests were communicated by Dr. Bernardino Petrucci, the federation’s deputy team doctor.
