My right knee is causing me problems and, despite working hard with my medical team, I have to admit that I’m not yet ready to compete.” So said Jannik Sinner following the announcement of his withdrawal from the US Masters 1000, scheduled for 13–23 August. “I’m very disappointed not to be able to play in Cincinnati and I wish Bob (Moran, ed.) and his whole team a fantastic and successful tournament,” added the world number one. “I can’t wait to return next year and am now focusing on my preparations for the US Open.”
