Milan, 29 July (LaPresse) – Torino Football Club “is pleased to announce that it has acquired, from ACF Fiorentina, on a temporary basis for a fee with an option to make the transfer permanent, the sporting rights of the player Pietro Comuzzo”. Comuzzo was born in San Daniele del Friuli on 20 February 2005. After taking his first steps in the youth academies of Udinese and Pordenone, he joined Fiorentina’s youth academy in 2018, where he progressed through the ranks all the way to the first team. With the Primavera side, he won the Super Cup in the 2022–‘23 season and then the Coppa Italia for that age group the following season. His Serie A debut came in the 2023–‘24 season, at the age of 18, on 8 October 2023, in the away victory at the Diego Maradona Stadium against Napoli. A few days later, on 26 October, he also made his European debut in the match against Cukaricki in the Conference League. Since then, the Friuli-born defender has carved out an increasingly important role in the Viola line-up, making a total of 91 appearances and scoring two goals across the league, Coppa Italia and Conference League. Throughout his career, he has been a regular for the Italian youth teams, and has also made two appearances for the senior national team in the friendlies played in June against Luxembourg and Greece.
