Milan, July 16 (LaPresse) — “My future? Nothing to say. I’ve always said that if there’s any news, I’ll be the one to announce it.” So said Red Bull driver Max Verstappen during the drivers’ press conference ahead of the Formula 1 Belgian Grand Prix. Looking ahead to the weekend at Spa, the Dutch driver said: “I don’t know what to expect; honestly, I don’t know how we’ll do here. We were strong in Austria, but disappointing at Silverstone. That’s why I don’t know what to expect here. We’re going back to the old rear wing; we’ll see about the new one later,” he added. “We need to look to the future by fixing our current problems. Sometimes there’s frustration and a bit of disappointment, but then you reset, go back to the factory, and work toward the next race weekend. The approach doesn’t change,” Verstappen added. Regarding team members leaving, he commented: “That’s just how it is; you have to look for new talent, and that’s what you always have to do. And that’s what we’re doing, too.”
