Rome, 21 May (LaPresse) – At least two Grand Prix races out. After undergoing surgery on his right collarbone following a serious crash at last weekend’s Catalan Grand Prix, during which he also sustained an injury to a cervical vertebra, Spain’s Alex Márquez will be sidelined for several weeks. The Gresini rider has already been ruled out of the next two Grand Prix races, in Italy (31 May) and Hungary (7 June). The Spaniard is due to undergo further scans on the fractured vertebra this week, in order to determine the treatment plan and assess the length of his absence.
