Fiorentina: the club is ready to contribute €55 million towards the refurbishment of the Franchi stadium

Rome, 27 April (LaPresse) – ‘Fiorentina took part in an inspection of the Stadio Artemio Franchi this morning, represented by General Manager Alessandro Ferrari, alongside Minister Andrea Abodi and Mayor Sara Funaro. The visit focused on the progress of Phase 1 works and the current state of the construction site.’ This is what is stated in a note from the Viola club. “On the same day, Fiorentina submitted a letter of intent, signed by President Giuseppe B. Commisso, through which the Commisso family formally expressed their interest in participating in the financing of Phase 2, contributing €55 million of the €110 million required to complete the project, as indicated by the City Council. This expression of interest is subject to a series of conditions, including cost control, clarity and certainty regarding completion times, as well as the handover of the site upon completion of Phase 1, in addition to other elements relating to economic and financial aspects and the future concession for the use of the stadium,” the statement reads. ‘This represents further confirmation of the Commisso family’s strong commitment to Fiorentina, its supporters and the city of Florence, and reflects the desire to carry forward Rocco B. Commisso’s vision and deep bond with the club, the Viola supporters and the city,’ the statement concludes.
