(LaPresse) – Bologna lost 3-1 at home to Aston Villa in the first leg of the Europa League quarter-finals and now face an uphill battle in England in a week’s time to try and progress to the semi-finals. Konsa broke the deadlock in the 44th minute of the first half, with Watkins doubling the lead six minutes into the second half. The final stages were eventful: in the 45th minute, Rowe pulled one back, reigniting Italiano’s side’s hopes of qualification, but they were punished in stoppage time by Watkins’ third goal, which completed his brace and complicated the Emiliani’s comeback plans.
