Football, Kimi Antonelli: ‘It’s a shame about the World Cup, but all the more reason to take Italy to the top’

Turin, 3 April (LaPresse) – “Obviously, it’s a shame we’re not going to the World Cup this year… I have wonderful memories of the European Championships: I remember I was at the European Championship race in Naples, in Sarno, and after winning the race, my mum and I jumped in the car and drove home as fast as we could because we wanted to watch the European Championship final: that was a wonderful time, because seeing the national team compete in the European Championship back then was truly brilliant.” So said Mercedes driver Kimi Antonelli in an interview with Sky Sport regarding the Azzurri’s failure to qualify for the World Cup. “Obviously, I was really disappointed not to see the national team qualify for the World Cup,” added the Formula 1 World Championship leader. “It’s one more reason to try and continue to raise Italy’s profile in my field.”
