Milan, 5 February (LaPresse) – Technical director Klaus Hoellrigl, in agreement with the staff, has selected the mixed relay quartet that will open the Olympic biathlon programme in Anterselva on Sunday 8 February (2.05 p.m.). In alphabetical order, they are Tommaso Giacomel, Lukas Hofer, Lisa Vittozzi and Dorothea Wierer. As is well known, contrary to what normally happens in the World Cup, the men will open the competition, then pass the baton to the women in the second half of the race. It should be noted that Italy has won a bronze medal in this competition format at Sochi 2014 with Dorothea Wierer, Karin Oberhofer, Dominik Windisch and Lukas Hofer, and another bronze at PyoengChang 2018 with Dorothea Wierer, Lisa Vittozzi, Dominik Windisch and Lukas Hofer.
