Skiing, Brignone: ‘Happy to be back, the adrenaline meant I didn’t feel any pain’

Milan, 20 January (LaPresse) – “It was difficult, I was calm these past few days, but when I took out my poles, I wasn’t sure I was ready. With the course turning so much, I started off stiff, which is tough in these conditions, but after the first intermediate, it went a little better.‘ This is how a satisfied Federica Brignone commented to RaiSport on her first impressions after returning to competition in the first run of the giant slalom in Kronplatz, valid for the World Cup. ’I felt good, the more I warm up, the better I feel. With the adrenaline, I didn’t feel the pain too much, I’m very happy: it was a great test,‘ added the champion from Valle d’Aosta. ’Now I want to rediscover my feelings, how I ski, and I hope to do so in the second run,‘ added Brignone, who is currently seventh, 1’18’ behind the leader, Sweden’s Sara Hector.
