Turin, 15 January (LaPresse) – Inter Milan pull away at the top of the league. The Nerazzurri took advantage of Napoli’s slip-up (0-0 against Parma) and are now six points clear at the top of the table thanks to their narrow victory over Lecce (1-0) at San Siro in the rescheduled match from the 16th round of Serie A. In a very balanced match, especially in the first half, Pio Esposito’s strike in the penalty area in the 33rd minute of the second half proved decisive. The young Nerazzurri striker picked up Falcone’s short rebound from Lautaro Martinez’s shot to score the winning goal. Chivu’s team now has 46 points, six points ahead of Napoli and Milan, who will play tomorrow in their postponed match against Como, while the Apulians suffered their third defeat in a row and remain stuck on 17 points, three points above the relegation zone.
