Rome, 16 December (LaPresse) – Gianluigi Donnarumma has been named The Best FIFA Men’s Goalkeeper 2025, winning the award for the first time in his career. The Italian goalkeeper has had a successful year, winning trophies in four different competitions with his former club, Paris Saint-Germain. The most iconic moment was probably his clean sheet in the Champions League final on 31 May 2025, won 5-0 against Inter. The 26-year-old number 1 also won three other national titles in France: Ligue 1, Coupe de France and Trophée des Champions. He was also part of the PSG team that finished second in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup. Now at Manchester City in the Premier League, Donnarumma beat other great goalkeepers such as Alisson Becker, Thibaut Courtois, Emiliano Martinez, Manuel Neuer, David Raya, Yann Sommer and Wojciech Szczesny in the voting for this year’s award.
