Pietrangeli: commemoration at the funeral parlour, private funeral

Milan, 1 December (LaPresse) – The funeral chapel for Nicola Pietrangeli, who passed away today at the age of 92, will be held on Wednesday on the court named after him at the Foro Italico, a symbolic location in the history of Italian tennis and the scene of many of his successes. It will be open to the public from 9 a.m. to allow all fans, athletes and sports institutions to pay tribute to one of the most iconic figures in Italian sport. A short commemoration will take place at 12 noon. The funeral will be held privately at 3 p.m., as requested by the family, at the Church of Santa Maria della Gran Madre di Dio.
