F1: Qatar Grand Prix, Piastri wins sprint, Norris third ahead of Verstappen

Rome, 29 Nov. (LaPresse) – Oscar Piastri wins the sixth and final sprint race of the season. At Losail, for the Qatar Grand Prix, the penultimate round of the World Championship, the Australian McLaren driver finished ahead of George Russell’s Mercedes, with World Championship leader Lando Norris third, ahead of another World Championship contender, Max Verstappen. In Ferrari, Leclerc finished 13th, while Hamilton (who started from the pit lane) finished 17th. Kimi Antonelli was sixth in the other Mercedes. Qualifying is at 7pm. Piastri therefore gains two points in the overall standings, moving to -22 from Norris, while Verstappen is -25. Norris will be champion tomorrow in the long race if he wins the race; he finishes two positions ahead of Piastri (with Verstappen behind Norris); he finishes 8th with Piastri out of the points.
