NBA: Chicago still unbeaten, Boston and Lakers win with Doncic

Milan, 1 Nov. (LaPresse) – Eight games were played last night in the NBA between the regular season and the NBA Cup. The Chicago Bulls continue their unstoppable march, beating the New York Knicks 135-125 with Josh Giddey scoring 32 points, 10 rebounds and 9 assists. Also in the East, the Boston Celtics narrowly defeated the Philadelphia 76ers 108-109 at home with 32 points from Jaylen Brown. The Cleveland Cavaliers were defeated again, losing to the Toronto Raptors 101-112. The Atlanta Hawks won 128-108 against the Indiana Pacers with 22 points, 13 rebounds and 8 assists from Jalen Johnson. In the West, the Los Angeles Lakers won 112-117 against the Memphis Grizzlies. Luka Doncic returned with a sensational performance of 44 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists. The other Los Angeles team also enjoyed success, with the Clippers beating the New Orleans Pelicans 126-124 with 34 points from Kawhi Leonard. The Portland Trail Blazers pulled off a surprise 109-107 victory over the Denver Nuggets, for whom Nikola Jokic’s 21 points were not enough. Finally, the Phoenix Suns beat the Utah Jazz 118-96 with 36 points from Devin Booker.
