Sinner withdraws from Davis Cup Final 8

Rome, 20 October (LaPresse) – The captain of Team Italia by Lavoropiù, Filippo Volandri, has released the list of players selected for the Davis Cup Final 8, which will take place from 18 to 23 November 2025 on the fast indoor court of the “SuperTennis Arena” at BolognaFiere. Jannik Sinner is not among the five players selected for the Italian team, as he ‘has not made himself available for 2025. The Davis Cup is, and will always be, his home, and I am sure that Jannik will soon return to the team,’ Volandri said. The five players selected for the Italian team are: Matteo Berrettini, Simone Bolelli, Flavio Cobolli, Lorenzo Musetti and Andrea Vavassori. ‘With our Italian boys,’ clarified the captain, “we have built our recent successes on team spirit and mutual trust. This trust is based on hard work and the constant willingness of each of them to help the others. That is why we are convinced that the team will meet in Bologna with even stronger motivation to achieve a historic goal for the collective and our fans. We will have to overcome tricky opponents, starting with Austria, but I am fortunate to be able to count on a large squad of players that will allow us to face the challenge with the utmost conviction.
