Football: Fabio Cannavaro officially appointed as new manager of Uzbekistan

Milan, 6 October (LaPresse) – A new adventure for Fabio Cannavaro, who is now the new coach of Uzbekistan. The Uzbekistan Football Federation announced on X that it had “signed a contract with Fabio Cannavaro, 2006 World Cup winner and one of the best defenders of the modern era. The Italian coach will lead our national team in preparation for the FIFA World Cup to be held in the United States, Canada and Mexico.” Cannavaro’s staff has also been announced. The Italian coach will be assisted by Eugenio Albarella – Assistant coach (previously worked with the Japanese national team, Juventus, Udinese and Dinamo Zagreb); Francesco Troise — Fitness coach (formerly Benevento, Udinese and Dinamo Zagreb); Antonio Chimenti — Goalkeeping coach (has worked with the Italian youth national teams, Sampdoria and Spal).
