Rome, 3 October (LaPresse) – The national team’s run-up to the World Cup resumes. The Azzurri will face Estonia and Israel again, the same opponents they beat in September in Gennaro Gattuso’s first two games as head coach. On Saturday 11 October in Tallinn, Italy will visit Estonia before hosting Israel on Tuesday 14 October in Udine, at the Stadio Friuli, which was the venue for last year’s Nations League match against Ben Shimon’s national team. Both matches are scheduled for 8.45 p.m. and will be broadcast live on Rai 1. Coach Gennaro Gattuso has called up 27 players for the training camp scheduled for the evening of Monday 6 October at the Federal Technical Centre in Coverciano: Fiorentina midfielder Hans Nicolussi Caviglia and Bologna striker Nicolò Cambiaghi have been called up to the national team for the first time, while Matteo Gabbia and Bryan Cristante return to the Azzurri squad after being absent since October and June 2024 respectively.
