Grand Slam in Rafa's sights
(Lapresse)Rafa Nadal and Nick Kyrgios are the last two semifinalists of the Wimbledon tournament. It was an impressive feat by the Spaniard, who yesterday, despite suffering from an abdominal problem from the first set, defeated the American Taylor Fritz in five sets at the end of a battle that lasted four hours and twenty minutes. Nadal can continue his dreams of another Grand Slam. In the other quarterfinal, Kyrgios dismissed Chile’s Cristian Garin in three sets. The other semifinal will be between defending champion Novak Djokovic and Britain’s Cameron Norrie, the fourth Briton in the Open era to reach the semifinals in his home major. Today the women’s semifinals: Jabeur-Maria and Rybakina-Halep.
