In 2019 train crash, Italian rails chief sentenced to five years in prison

The former chief executive of Italy’s national railway, Mauro Moretti, was sentenced to 5 years in jail for the Viareggio railway disaster of 29 June 2009, which cost the lives of 32 people after a train carrying liquid petroleum gas derailed and exploded.
