Djokovic he is now halfway to a Grand Slam

The Serbian, number one in the world, overtook the Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas in the fifth set, winning the Roland Garros tournament for the second time in his career. On the land of Paris Nole prevailed over the Hellenic after a marathon of 4 hours and 12 minutes which ended with a score of 6-7 (6) 2-6 6-3 6-2 6-4. From two sets down Djokovic outlasts Tsitsipas.

He is now halfway to a Grand Slam — winning all four major tennis tournaments in a single year — something that no man has accomplished in more than 50 years. The man who did it was Rod Laver in 1969.

“I couldn’t be happier and more satisfied with this kind of scenario in the last 48 hours,” said Djokovic. “Probably ranks at the top three all‑time achievements and experiences that I had in my professional tennis career.” The tennis player shared an Instagram post right after his victory at the French Final Open with his team.
