Rome, Oct. 26 (LaPresse) – “Lula has won. The Brazilian people have defeated the far right and chosen the Amazon, democracy, social justice and the defense of rights. An extraordinary victory for Brazil and a source of hope for all of us who fight for a fairer world, where people and the planet come before the interests of a few. Long live Lula. Long live democracy. Long live the Brazilian people.” So said Angelo Bonelli, member of parliament for the Green and Left Alliance.
