Milan, 27 July (LaPresse) – ‘We are working to put forward a series of proposals to the coalition, some of which can be implemented immediately, whilst others are to be included on the agenda for the next parliamentary term’. This was stated by the Deputy Prime Minister and National Secretary of Forza Italia, Antonio Tajani, in an interview with Libero. “The first is to exempt thirteenth-month bonuses from tax: 100 per cent for the lowest amounts, and then with progressive taxation as the amount increases. The other idea we are working on is the reduction or abolition of road tax for cars and motorbikes. The third concerns reducing the personal income tax rate from 35 per cent to 33 per cent for incomes up to 60,000 euros. But there are other very important measures: one is to allow tax deductions for healthcare expenses in the year they are incurred, rather than in the following year. This is because if I need medical treatment, I need the funds straight away,” he added.
