Milan, July 22 (LaPresse) – The Italian Chamber of Deputies’ Committee on Authorizations has voted against the request by the Rome Public Prosecutor’s Office to seize chat messages exchanged between Brothers of Italy (FdI) MP and former Undersecretary for Justice Andrea Delmastro Delle Vedove and Mauro Caroccia in connection with the “Bisteccheria d’Italia” case. The governing majority voted in favor of the proposal submitted by rapporteur Pietro Pittalis (Forza Italia), while the center-left opposition voted against it. Delmastro was a partner in the restaurant, which was owned by Miriam Caroccia, the 19-year-old daughter of Mauro Caroccia. At the beginning of 2026, Mauro Caroccia was definitively sentenced to four years in prison for the fraudulent registration of assets, with the aggravating circumstance of mafia association.
