Roggero case, Salvini: “There are alternative sentences; I hope he is released as soon as possible”

Rome, 21 July (LaPresse) – “I hope Mario Roggero is released from prison as soon as possible. The sentence has been definitively handed down, but it can be served not only in prison but also through alternative measures such as house arrest or community service. I therefore hope that Mario Roggero will remain in prison for as short a time as possible.” These were the words of the Minister for Transport and Deputy Prime Minister, Matteo Salvini, speaking on the sidelines of the ceremony marking the 161st anniversary of the Port Authority and Coastguard Corps in Rome.
