Rome, 21 May (LaPresse) – In accordance with Articles 18, 21 and 30 of Law No. 195 of 24 March 1958, the President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, in his capacity as President of the Superior Council of the Judiciary, has today called for the election of its twenty judicial members to be held on 25 and 26 October 2026. This was announced in a statement from the Presidency of the Quirinale. At the same time, the Head of State invited the President of the Chamber of Deputies to arrange, in agreement with the President of the Senate of the Republic, for Parliament to be convened in joint session for the election of the ten members of the same Superior Council appointed by Parliament, and to inform the President of the Senate of the Republic, the Vice-President of the Superior Council of the Judiciary and the Minister of Justice accordingly.
