Government, Schlein: ‘A missed opportunity; stability has turned into stagnation’

Rome, 3 May (LaPresse) – “They have squandered a historic opportunity because the stability from which she has benefited stems from our divisions in 2022.” So said PD Secretary Elly Schlein, referring to Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, whose government became yesterday the second-longest-serving in the history of the Republic. “Fortunately, that era is over; they got everything wrong and we are in the running with a united and competitive alliance,” she added. “When we win the elections, we will not make the same mistake. This government inherited the largest joint investment plan, worth 200 billion, yet leaves Italy second-to-last in Europe for growth. Stability, if it turns into stagnation, is not good for the country.”
