Rome, 17 April (LaPresse) – “Reopening Hormuz means establishing an element that is essential to any resolution of the Middle East conflict. The centrality of the issue of reopening Hormuz in the negotiation process is particularly clear in light of recent developments, when, in response to the ceasefire in Lebanon, the passage of ships through the Strait was reopened, at least on the Iranian side, for the duration of the ceasefire negotiated between the United States, Iran and Israel. And so, as I was saying, the reopening of Hormuz is part of any serious plan to negotiate a resolution to the crisis in the Middle East.” So said the Prime Minister, Giorgia Meloni, speaking at the Élysée Palace during joint statements to the press at the conclusion of the Conference on Maritime Navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.
