Rome, 21 January (LaPresse) – ‘The Prime Minister, Giorgia Meloni, is closely monitoring the exceptional wave of bad weather affecting Calabria, Sardinia and Sicily, in constant contact with Minister Nello Musumeci and the Head of the Civil Protection Department, Fabio Ciciliano’. This was announced in a statement from Palazzo Chigi. ‘Prime Minister Meloni,’ the statement continues, “is particularly close to the affected communities and recommends following the instructions of local authorities, avoiding any exposure to risk. She thanks the Department of Civil Protection and local authorities, regions, municipalities and prefects for their efficient forecasting and warning work. The government will support the communities that have suffered damage. In the coming days, Minister Musumeci and Department Head Ciciliano will visit the affected areas to identify, together with the presidents of the regions concerned, the actions necessary to overcome the emergency.”
