Genoa, 10 January (LaPresse) – In the next few days, the task of performing an autopsy on the body of Emanuele Galeppini, the 17-year-old from Genoa who was one of the six Italian victims of the tragedy in Crans-Montana, Switzerland, will be assigned. The autopsy will be carried out on 20 January. The examination will be performed by Francesco Ventura, director of the Institute of Forensic Medicine at the San Martino Polyclinic in Genoa, and has been ordered by the Genoa Public Prosecutor’s Office on behalf of the Rome Public Prosecutor’s Office, which has opened a case for multiple manslaughter and arson, currently against persons unknown. It will serve to clarify the dynamics and causes that led to Emanuele’s death, whose body, according to reports, was found without any signs of burns and with his documents and mobile phone on him. Despite this and the possibility of death due to poisoning, the Swiss authorities had subjected the body to DNA testing, thus prolonging the time needed for identification and notification of the young man’s family. A CT scan is also scheduled for 19 January.
