Rome, 3 Dec. (LaPresse) – “The statements made by Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, who from Bahrain is forced to point out the obvious regarding the timing of the decree on aid to Ukraine, confirm once again the serious and growing division within the majority on foreign policy. On Ukraine, the government continues to appear deeply divided, with Salvini not only dictating the political agenda to the Prime Minister, but also attempting to replace Ministers Crosetto and Tajani, even going so far as to influence the agenda of the Council of Ministers. While the world watches closely the difficult negotiations to build a credible path to peace, the Italian government is failing to offer a clear and responsible line in the interests of the country and European security, with a Deputy Prime Minister who continues to highlight his pro-Putin stance’. So says the PD’s national foreign affairs spokesman, Peppe Provenzano.
