FdI: Meloni open to one-off debate with Schlein and Conte at Atreju

Rome, 27 November (LaPresse) – “I read that Elly Schlein has finally accepted Fratelli d’Italia’s invitation to participate in Atreju, but only if she can engage in a direct debate with me. Atreju has always been open to dialogue, even with those who think differently. I am therefore ready to engage with the opposition. However, I believe that Giuseppe Conte should also participate in the debate. For two reasons: the first is that Giuseppe Conte, unlike Elly Schlein, has come to Atreju in previous years without imposing any restrictions. He did so even as Prime Minister. The second is that it is not up to me to decide who should be the leader of the opposition when the opposing camp has not yet chosen one. For my part, therefore, I am available for a single debate with both of them.” This was written on social media by the leader of the National Alliance, Giorgia Meloni.
