Privacy, Ghiglia: “We will not give in, we will resist political pressures”

Milan, Nov 23 (LaPresse) – “For the good of the institution, we must resist these political pressures.” This was stated by Agostino Ghiglia, a member of the Privacy Authority, when asked about the possible resignations of the Privacy Authority’s board, in an interview with Repubblica. “I have the privilege of working for such an important regulatory body, and I cannot allow anyone to trample on its honor. I am even willing to make people think that I am clinging to my position, which – I repeat – is something that deeply offends me. But I know I must stay, not for myself, because, if I may say so, I certainly don’t need it, given my work in the past years, but to defend the prestige of the institution I represent,” Ghiglia added.
