Separation of careers: final approval in the Senate with 112 yes votes

Rome, Oct. 30 (LaPresse) – The Senate chamber approved in the fourth and final reading the constitutional bill on the separation of careers in the judiciary. The Parliament gave final approval with 112 votes in favor, 59 against, and 9 abstentions. Protests erupted from the PD, M5S, and AVS in the Senate immediately after the bill’s approval. Senators from the three groups displayed red signs with white letters reading “no to full powers.”
