Gaza: opposition protests in the Chamber of Deputies, government benches occupied

Rome, Sept. 24 (LaPresse) – The opposition parties Avs, Pd, and M5S opened the Chamber session by demanding an urgent meeting of the leaders’ conference to discuss the Israeli attacks on the Flotilla. “Avs deputies, together with other opposition members, occupied the government benches in the Chamber, calling for the leaders’ conference to be convened, immediate action by Minister Crosetto to defend the Flotilla under attack by Israeli drones, and statements from Giorgia Meloni,” said Avs deputy leader Marco Grimaldi. “The M5S will do everything possible to block parliamentary work. We want a moment of clarification because this situation is unacceptable to us,” said M5S leader Riccardo Ricciardi during the session. Following the protest, the session was suspended.
