Rome, Nov. 4 (LaPresse) – “Next Friday I will set off for South America to visit Uruguay, Argentina and Peru. I entrust myself to your prayers, so that this journey may strengthen faith, renew hope, rekindle the fire of charity and serve as an encouragement to continue proclaiming the Gospel with joy.” Pope Leo XIV said this as he greeted the Spanish-speaking faithful attending Wednesday’s general audience in St. Peter’s Square. The Pope reiterated his request for prayers in his final greetings in Italian as well, for this “mission” to Uruguay, Argentina and Peru, countries that are “very dear to me”.
