Rome, Oct. 17 (LaPresse) – The Pope’s motorcade entered the Vatican through the Porta del Perugino, bringing Leo XIV back to the Apostolic Palace after several days of hospitalization at the Gemelli Polyclinic. As he left the hospital smiling, the Pontiff was greeted by prolonged applause from the large crowd gathered there. Before getting into the car, he blessed a young Ukrainian patient who gave him a small Pope-shaped doll. Tomorrow, Leo XIV will recite the Angelus from the window of his study at the Apostolic Palace, the same window from which, just last Sunday, he announced that he would undergo surgery to remove a lung nodule.
