Milan, 11 Sept. (LaPresse) – The Milan Court of Appeal has confirmed the shutdown of the hot area at the former Ilva plant in Taranto. The application submitted by lawyers representing the former Ilva and Acciaierie d’Italia to suspend the decree – which in July had set a 90-day deadline for shutting down the blast furnaces pending their removal – has therefore been rejected. The shutdown must be completed by 28 October.
