Rome, Sept. 7 (LaPresse) – A fire deliberately started overnight targeted the restaurant linked to one of the Bianchi brothers, who were convicted of the murder of Willy Monteiro Duarte. Six years after the young man’s death, someone allegedly reached the premises in Artena, poured flammable liquid on the shutter and set it alight. The incident occurred at around 3 a.m. The fire extinguished itself shortly afterwards without damaging the interior of the restaurant, while an outdoor planter was reportedly affected. Carabinieri officers from the Artena Station and soldiers from the Operational and Radio Mobile Unit of the Colleferro Company arrived at the scene and were tasked with the investigation. The investigation is being coordinated by the Velletri Prosecutor’s Office. Investigators are trying to reconstruct what happened and, above all, identify the person or people responsible for the act. Surveillance camera footage from the area is being examined in the hope that it may provide useful information to identify whoever reached the premises in the middle of the night and clarify the possible motive and responsibility for the act.
