Rome, Sept. 2 (LaPresse) – No assault on Valter Lavitola has reportedly been recorded at Rebibbia Prison. This is according to sources from the Department of Penitentiary Administration, who reportedly found no internal documentation regarding incidents of violence against the inmate. The alleged assault was reported during the interrogation of Pellegrino D’Avino, identified as one of the alleged perpetrators of the attack on Sigfrido Ranucci. D’Avino reportedly stated, based on hearsay, that he had learned of the incident from other inmates and that Lavitola was subsequently taken to the infirmary.
