Rome, 11 August (LaPresse) – Flights at Catania Airport have been suspended until 11.00 am on Wednesday 12 August. This has been announced by SAC, the company that manages Catania Airport. “Due to volcanic activity on Mount Etna,” reads an update on the website, “and given the wind conditions, the closure of Sector C1 has been extended and Sector B3 has been closed, resulting in the suspension of arrivals and departures until 11.00 am on 12 August. Passengers are advised to check the status of their flight with their airline before travelling to the airport.”
