Naples, 1 Aug. (LaPresse) – The Fire Service is continuing its technical inspections of buildings following the 4.7-magnitude tremor recorded last night in the Campi Flegrei area. The emergency response operation has been scaled up by retaining off-duty personnel, deploying a local command unit to Pozzuoli and sending five teams to carry out inspections across the area. The Campania regional headquarters has also ordered the deployment of four operational modules for rapid reconnaissance of buildings and structures, as well as four additional teams sent as reinforcements from neighbouring fire stations. Following initial assessments, several households in the Campi Flegrei area were evacuated from their homes as a precautionary measure. In Pozzuoli, on Via Fasano, an elderly man in need of medical care was evacuated from his home. Once brought down to street level using a ladder ladder, the man was handed over to paramedics for transport to hospital.
