(LaPresse) – The father of little Beatrice, the three-year-old girl found dead in Bordighera on February 9, has submitted a request for the return of her body and permission to hold the funeral. After the complete autopsy report on the child’s body was filed, and the investigation phase was concluded, the father’s lawyer, Maurizio Rao, who is also in prison but for reasons unrelated to Beatrice’s death, filed the request. The prosecutor’s office is now awaiting a decision, after which the funeral can be held. According to La Presse, the funeral should be held in public, but with a series of public order precautions. The girl’s mother, in prison on charges of aggravated mistreatment following Beatrice’s death, has already been allowed to attend the little girl’s funeral.
