Milan, 25 July (LaPresse) – Tear gas was used during the march organised by the No Tav movement in Val di Susa, dubbed ‘the march towards the construction sites of devastation’, which set off from the Alta Felicità Festival in Venaus and headed for the Salbertrand construction site. The march, which according to the organisers involved 20,000 people, reached the vicinity of the Salbertrand construction site, where the demonstrators carried out what they describe as a ‘battitura’, followed by the firing of tear gas by the police officers deployed there. “Unacceptable. These are the poisonous and violent fruits of a left that has for too long fuelled hatred and delegitimisation against the police and anyone who wears a uniform.
