Rome, 23 July (LaPresse) – Pope Leo XIV has sent a telegram of good wishes to the President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, who turns 85 today. As reported by the Vatican media outlet Prevost, in the message he thanks the Head of State for the “constant attention” he has shown towards Italy’s “ecclesial and social life”. In the message, the Pope assures him of his prayers for the “noble task” he carries out in the service of the people, entrusting him to the intercession of the country’s patron saints, Francis of Assisi and Catherine of Siena.
