Rome, 20 July (LaPresse) – A major police operation to tackle youth crime has been carried out across 44 Italian provinces. A total of 539 people have been arrested (including 47 minors), 954 have been charged, 703 kilograms of drugs have been seized, and 1,182 properties have been searched. Approximately 300,000 euros in cash, 49 firearms and 87 weapons were seized. 973 social media profiles inciting hatred and violence were identified. Nearly 190,000 people were checked in areas known for drug dealing and nightlife. The operation was coordinated by the Central Operational Service.
