Savona: 15-year-old boy dies after being electrocuted at the Spotorno funfair

Genoa, 17 July (LaPresse) – A tragedy occurred last night at the funfair in Spotorno (Savona), where a 15-year-old boy died after being electrocuted. The circumstances are still unclear. The incident took place at around 11 pm; the boy was immediately found to be in a critical condition and was treated before being transferred to San Paolo Hospital in Savona. There, doctors attempted at length to resuscitate him, but there was nothing that could be done to save the 15-year-old. Investigations are underway to establish with certainty the causes and sequence of events that led to the boy’s death; meanwhile, this morning the local council issued an order closing the entire funfair.
