Ranucci assassination: investigators are examining material seized from Lavitola

Rome, 9 July (LaPresse) – Carabinieri from the Investigative Unit of the Rome Provincial Command are analysing a number of magnetic storage devices, including two hard drives, hard drives and three mobile phones seized during a search of the home of restaurateur Valter Lavitola, who is under investigation on charges of attempted mass murder and membership of a mafia-type criminal organisation, as he is suspected of being the instigator of the attack on journalist and presenter of the programme ‘Report’, Sigfrido Ranucci, which took place on 16 October 2025 in the municipality of Pomezia. Yesterday, Valter Lavitola was questioned by prosecutors at the public prosecutor’s office in Rome.
