Milan, 9 July (LaPresse) – The Court of Cassation has upheld the appeal lodged by Irene Pivetti and has quashed and remanded the four-year prison sentence for self-laundering and tax evasion, relating to a series of commercial transactions in 2016 totalling approximately 10 million euros with Team Racing Isolani, which were allegedly used to conceal money derived from tax offences. The Court of Cassation upheld the appeal lodged by Francesco Cocco, the lawyer representing Pivetti, and ordered a retrial on appeal. Pivetti had been convicted at first instance in September 2024, and the sentence had been upheld in December 2025. The Attorney General’s Office had requested that the conviction be upheld.
